Who we are

Homie SW4 is a hyperlocal home services concierge operating in Abbeville Village. The data controller is Joel Roach, contactable at hello@HomieSW4.co.uk.

What data we collect

Your name and address in Abbeville Village
Your email address (optional)
Your encrypted password (we never store your password in readable form)
Home profile details you choose to share (boiler age, garden, car ownership etc.)
Records of services you've requested or campaigns you've joined
Basic usage data (how many times the chat has been used — no personal identifiers)

Why we collect it

To provide home services and organise bookings on your behalf
To send you relevant offers, group buy opportunities and service reminders
To personalise your experience with Homie
To contact you about bookings you've made

Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interests (providing the service you've signed up for) and consent (for marketing communications).

How we store it

Your data is stored in Upstash, a secure cloud database service. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your password is hashed using SHA-256 and is never stored in readable form — not even we can read it.

We do not store payment card details. All payments (when introduced) will be handled by a regulated payment processor.

Who we share it with

We only share your details with third parties when necessary to fulfil a service request — for example, passing your contact details to a vetted contractor to arrange a booking. We never sell your data or share it for marketing purposes.

Our service providers (Vercel for hosting, Upstash for data storage, SendGrid for email) process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Rectification — correct any inaccurate data
Erasure — delete your account and all associated data at any time via your profile page
Portability — receive your data in a portable format
Object — object to processing for marketing purposes

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. The site uses only essential session data to keep you signed in during a single visit.
